Day 47- Othniel & Bezalel: Tabernacle Artisans of God16 Feb
This is where some of the repetition might start getting to us, as we wonder about and try to picture the tabernacle.
The picture at right is from a great site i encourage you to head to for a few more details about the significance of each piece, and the meaning that Christ fulfilled in each element of the tabernacle. Go to domini.org.
Want to build your own tabernacle (not for worship purposes of course…the Lord would not be pleased…and neither would the neighbors if it was full scale.) Go to The Tabernacle Place for resources and information.
If you are more tech savvy, try this walk-thru the tabernacle site. It has some cool elements, but don’t download this if you don’t know what you are doing.
I think it is awesome that God gave the gift of craftsmanship to these guys for the work on the tabernacle. it is a reminder to us that the Holy Spirit works in many ways through various people, with varied gifts, for the accomplishment of his mission. Don’t ever down-play the physical work on the church and it’s ministries as secondary to the gospel. It is guys like these who made the worship possible! And as an aside…where did they get their skills? Slavery in Egypt. Remember that God even uses those times for his purposes.
